• Lithofacies: Interbedded volcanic ash and silt, Interbedded tuffaceous sands and gravel-bearing silt
• Lithofacies (Minor): Volcanic ash, Gravels
• Sedimentary structures: Parallel stratification, Slump structures

• Thickness: ca. 20 - 30 m
• Upper limit: Unconformity (4th stage products)

• Distribution: Gohogi - Torikabuto farm, Sakae city, Shimominochi county, Nagano pref.; Kassa dam, Yuzawa city, Minamiuonuma county, Niigata pref.
