• Thickness (Middle): ca. 1 - 2 m
• Thickness (Lower): 10 m or thicker
• Upper limit: Loam
• Lower limit: Unconformity (Hirote Formation, Furuto Formation)

• Distribution: Odaira - Hirote - flank of Mount Sumon, Sanjo city, Niigata pref.
• Tephra: Kh-Od
