Occurrence

A deposit composed of evaporated residues of fresh water. Fresh water evaporites are formed at fresh water lakes in the middle of continents. Solid components in fresh water deposit by evaporation. The deposit is mainly composed of sodium carbon, sodium sulfate, and borates.
